Wrapping up at the end of the day
After running the races on a Sunday afternoon or Wednesday evening there are several tasks that need to be performed so the equipment is ready for the next day's racing.
On the RC boat:
1. Make sure the radio is turned off.
2. The key removed from the ignition switch and clipped to the basket.
3. Lower the RC flag
and any other flags that were raised.
4. The course symbols should be put away.
5. The anchor line is coiled so that it is ready to use.
6. The gas container is
returned to the metal storage bin.
7. The basket containing the notebook with the race results, clipboards, etc. is returned to the RC closet.
8. The PRO needs to make sure the handheld radios are put on their respective chargers.
9. If there is any issue that needs to be communicated to the next RC on the following race day, please contact Club Fleet Captain, Mark White immediately.
On each of the support boats:
1. The handheld
radios need to be plugged into the chargers that are located in the RC closet. The
ignition keys need to be returned to the basket and stored in the RC closet.
2. The marks and anchors are returned to their respective locations in the yard and storage boxes.
3. The gasoline container is removed and placed in the metal storage box. The rubber fuel line on the Committee Boat should be kept in place on the boat but the ones on rescue boats should be put into the gas storage box.
4. The towline is coiled so that it is ready, if needed, for next time.
IF ANY EQUIPMENT WAS NOT WORKING, PLEASE CONTACT THE CLUB'S FLEET CAPTAIN, Mark White SO THAT THE PROBLEMS CAN BE ADDRESSED.
